Virginia Apple Orchards
Virginia is the sixth largest apple producing state in the country, with production from Southwest Virginia through the Central region and up to the Northern Shenandoah Valley. We produce a wide variety of apples for fresh consumption as well as processing. Our industry features growers who sell apples domestically and internationally as well as many pick your own operations, and farmers markets. Virginia is known for the outstanding apple harvest festivals in the Fall. Additionally, Virginia produces many value added products including apple cider, apple sauce and apple butter. Virginia is also home to a growing hard cider industry, now featuring over 20 producers selling their product in state as well as throughout the United States.

Our orchards are located at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking and picnicking are encouraged. All ages are welcome. Restroom at the checkout station. Cherry trees are small this makes them easier to reach. Call mid May for Cherry picking season starting dates. Early picking is the easiest ground picking. All of the fruit that goes into our products, comes directly off of our trees, never picked up off of the ground. When it goes into the shed, it's all washed once. Then the bruised or ugly fruit goes into the other shed, where it is washed again up to three more times before it is used for our other products; ie: jams, butters, or ciders.
